Teaching the guitar

Since his arrival in Sarasota, Thomas has established himself as an inspirational teacher of the classical guitar. Thomas' studio, the Art of Guitar Studio is located half a mile North of the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall in Sarasota. Thomas’ students have received grants and scholarships from institutions like the Sarasota Music Teacher Association, the Andrew Vincent Messina Foundation, Stetson University and other organizations.

Thomas is on the artist faculty at Booker High School, where the school offers applied guitar lessons of 90 minutes per day for those students that get accepted to the visual and performing arts program (VPA). The program includes grade 9 to 12 and students have to audition prior to acceptance into the program. Guitar ensemble works, as well as solo repertoire are the main focus in this classical guitar program.
